We cordially invite you to divine services at the Catholic Church of St. Wenceslas in Harrachov.
We meet every Sunday and Thursday from 4 pm. The worship is served by Father Ivo Kvapil from Rokytnice nad Jizerou.
The Catholic church dates back to 1828. The present brick church replaced the original wooden one from 1788. We are located in Harrachov, a town of glassmakers, and that is why you will find beautiful glass elements even in the church, for instance an unusual glass altar from 1864 and a chandelier from 1828.
The Church of St. Wenceslas was built on the site of a wooden chapel from 1730, and a wooden church was built here in 1788. In 1822-1828 it was rebuilt into a brick Empire church.
Inside you will be impressed by the partially glass altar from 1864. The church also includes a large chandelier from 1828, which is currently owned by the Glass Museum.
